Let's start the journey!
Day 1
English isn't my first language, so I might write some broken English.
It's been quite a while since I joined the GBA jam, but I didn't even started implementing my own game!
Half being lazy, half being frustrated about the result comming out bad.
Until today, I happened to see Jono Shields' Devlog page and the quote on the front hit me hard;
Dude, suckin' at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.~ Jake the dog
Yeah, I completely forgot that, every master started out as a beginner.
As I'm completely new to game development (and actually any development)...
I need to stop picking at the sample codes forever (which I have to only when I run into a problem),
and I should drop my own shitty draft.
The first draft of anything is shit. ~ Ernest Hemingway
Let's see how far I can get till July!
=== edit ===
So... what have I done the very first day?
- I drew some graphics! (actually for the first time in my life!)
- Splash Scene
- Title Scene (placeholder)
- Protagonist character animation (rudimentary)
- Implemented Splash Scene, and the scene transition effect.
- mainly by almost copying the butano-fighter's scene class structure
There's not much things to show, because I haven't even implemented the title scene yet.
Anyways, I'm quite happy for how the first day turned out!
wobble effect seems to be a good choice, if you have never done art before.

Pro tip: You can hit A to change the scene faster.
